We're making some serious progress on this moving business and we just had the best going away party, but I ought to finish out our trip before I digress. Our final destination was Lausanne on the French side of Switzerland where my ja and danke reflex would not make way for even occasional ouis or mercis.
I found Lausanne crazy beautiful, expensive, and hot. It didn't even get cooler on the lakeside here by Ouchy. Great name.
I thought the coolest thing about the area was the vineyards arranged throughout the hills above the lake like a Van Gogh painting. The vineyards have a great network of hiking paths between cute little wine towns providing some seriously sweaty though blissful hiking.
