Yeah, I've been saving up that title. We spent our last full day with Lou and Jason doing more hiking. We stayed the night in Partenkirchen where Maria and Jason had a bed shaped like a racecar. Dave would have been so jealous. And then we hiked in this gorge that seemed like it was straight out of The Hobbit.
On the hike in, you go through caves and behind and sometimes sort of under waterfalls then you get to warm up and dry out as you hike around the tops of them. There were also fun meadows and quizzical cabins that Maria traversed barb wire in order to figure out.
And Neuschwanstein isn't a bad end to a trip. Here it is in the sunshine.
Don't forget to check out Jason's account of these adventures too at Summer of Herbie!

Thanks for the shoutout...I'm planning a much-too-long rant on our Bavarian adventure, but it may have to wait until tomorrow.
Not only was the bed shaped like a racecar (complete with headlights), the TV was in a helmet. You had to lift the shield to see the screen:) We just had the best vacation ever! The hiking was absolutely incredible, the beer and currywurst were delicious and the tour guides were fantastic. Thanks again Redenii!
Wow - looks like a fabulous hike and fun times with visitors. We are so jealous!! Miss you guys tons! :)
So, did an elderly lady look at maria and jason and say "rednecks" in German before giving them the racecar room? (that's not a dig you know, we were "Klien") Did you leave skid marks in the bed? Were the sheets fire retardant? Was there a "spotter"? Did Maria get the Pole? Did Jason get a "DNF"? ok bye.
