Another great thing about Paris, besides French words like dangereaux and parapluie, the whole Marais, neat old doorways, fresh baguettes, ubiquitous French bulldogs, old guys playing boule, atmospheric cafes, incredible soft cheeses, falafel on Rue des Rosiers, beautiful French people, fun street names like Rue du Chat qui Pêche (street of the cat who fishes), and crepes, is that it's really easy to rent a wonderful apartment. For a fraction of the price of a hotel, you can have an authentic flat in a great neighborhood. I really like using Paris Attitude, and they gave us a steal once in December, but they aren't flexible with a minimum seven day rental in high season. We were able to find this great flat with requisite wooden beams for five days on Rue Charles V through vrbo.
We were really happy with our flat but of course preferred Guy and Christine's where the following pictures are representative of our typical greeting.

Cute flat! That soft cheese looks amazing!
On the plane home, Anna wanted Guy to read her the Billie Goats over and over--and who wouldn't with such great dialogue (goat curry anyone?).
Love VRBO!
