I got to drive up to Canadian Lakes today with Jeremy and Maria to see Crowders and my wonderful and adorable grandparents, Berniece and Bob.
Grandpa was telling me that they enjoyed regular blog updates, and it jarred my motivation to catch up my posting. I do love having new posts. I often check here to see if my page has updated itself. Alas, it never does. So I'll back track a little to catch up. Our last weekend in London was spent watching Kristin's regatta.
Kristin is tough and awesome and in the blue boat that is almost winning.
And post race, we all got to go to Steins, my favorite London biergarten. On the way home from Richmond, we squeezed into a crowded little pub to watch the Barcelona vs. Man U game where I knocked over some poor guy's drink and felt obliged to buy the nice chap a new one.And we finished up the weekend making our first batch of Guy's People's Soup. It wasn't bad for a first go, Guy. If I were making soup tasting notes, I would describe it as onions, leeks, and shallots at their finest. With the soup, we had a baguette, Manchego, and great fondness for Whipsmeyers.
