Galavanting in Gomshall

In our search for ample hiking, the only element absent in our love for London, we travelled out to the hilly farmland of Surrey. We tried to follow this route and succeeded with only a few accidental departures from the 11.5 mile trail.
My original plan was to take the 7:30 train from Waterloo to Gomshall Saturday morning, but after a birthday party for our fabulous friend Sara Friday night, we didn't manage to get ourselves to the station until after 11:00.
When we eventually arrived, we loved the sunny stroll through valleys, farms, and churchyards which took us over staired fences,
through kissing gates,
by tons and tons of pheasants,
past oreo colored cows
and crazy ancient trees,
down one cleverly named street,
and to a cricket match.

I love your adventures. Galavanting is good. Next time maybe you should traipse somewhere. :)
