Spot of snow on our first hike of the season as we started our preparations for our upcoming week of hiking in the Isle of Skye in Scotland with Jay and Fredrik. One of the great joys of hiking in these parts involves the Hütte, great little mountain top restaurants where you can sit in the sun and let your socks dry while you enjoy a beer. Or a Radler if you're more sissy like me.
Snow hiking is a hootenany overall, especially when running downhill, despite some minor complications with wet shoes and pants and the occasional breaking through you see Fredrik struggling with below.
