International House Hunters Munich

We haven't slept much since leaving Michigan, and it's been an action packed first day in Munich. We had one of those situations you hear about in planes where an elderly man got sick and needed to have an emergency landing.  Thus, we got to add the military base in Goose Bay in Newfoundland to our tour.  We got into town three hours late and just in time to meet our relocation agent, an awesome lady named Karin who laughed at all of my jokes.  She laughed when I asked if it was against the law to drink and bike, but that wasn't intended to be a joke. She took us on an exhaustive apartment search and to lunch.  It really was just like an International House Hunters episode. One of the apartment leasers who we met with asked us why we were looking at so many top floor apartments with no elevators and terrible parking.  I thought of them more as affordable apartments with great views in popular areas.  Regardless, we climbed a lot of stairs and spent a lot of time waiting for people to leave their parking spots. We found a great place though and we're so excited.  In a state of delirious sleeplessness, we signed our year long contract today and we move in tomorrow.  Details and a multitude of pictures will follow soon.
