We spent the first weekend of March in the cute northern Italian town of Bergamo where my friend Matt's people are from. I was pretty certain the old town would be charming but was pleasantly surprised by the "new town" which is also totally old and remarkable. We stayed in a great hotel there called Petronilla near these fun colored buildings
where they left us neat snacks.
We also took a day trip to nearby Lake Iseo to hike amongst the earth pyramids.
We were a bit early in the season for hiking but were lucky to get a warm though overcast day and to traverse these narrow roads without a single scratch to our little rental car.
And our trip concluded in Milan where we ate gelato, buffalo mozzarella, and incredible meals as directed by Italy expert and travelista extraordinaire Jul who likes her mozzarella and her whisky very smoky.
And we were sure to take a twirl around the emblem of Milan which apparently brings good luck to all who spin on the bull's balls.

revitalized sounds much nicer than resurrected. like it has been at a spa rather than in the hospital. and you're of course so right, bull ball spinning is something best shared. :)
