That was the first step listed for installing our cable modem. We just got it all worked out, and I'm so sorry if I haven't emailed you and should have. It's been hairy. I paid for a connection one day, but I had to hold the computer up to the front window to make it work and in doing so accidentally peeped the guy across the street who noticed me seeing him before i could duck my head behind my computer screen. And the connection was bad too, so it really didn't work out that great.
We still don't have any furniture, but we do have blankets as of Tuesday. Big win! So while I want to share pictures of our place, I also want to wait until it looks cute with stuff in it. But I can start with the kitchen.
The orchid had the nerve to lose two blooms. Even after I bought it a special mist sprayer upon your suggestion Christine. It's just one ungrateful orchid. And I'm not sure if this is gross or a little bit sweet, but our view from the kitchen window is of these two.
I believe they're in love.

I think your bird friends are cute. Like Bad Tolz birds only real...and pooping. Do they coo sweetly at least (or in more the humping in heat way the pigeons do in Sendlinger Tor)?
I think the scene is most romantic.
Are they Standing on Poop?
What is a 'Wellie'?
Word Verification - viessl ...
Me; (To the kid with the cleft palate) "Who is your favorite actor?"
Kid with cleft palate; "Viessl"
Me; "Viessl?"
Kid with cleft palate; "Yosthh"
Me; ...
Me; "You mean that bald guy that was in Triple X and that movie about driving Hondas real fast?"
Kid with cleft palate; "Uhhth Huuhth"
Me; "Oh"
jen! i can't hear any sweet or humping coos through the glass. i actually imagine them discussing my antics in the kitchen, making commentary on my cooking choices, pooping when they spiritedly object.
mom! i get to see their romance every night. they settle in about dinner time.
nick! i'm glad you asked. both questions.
1. yes, they are standing on a dryer vent laden with their own fecal material.
2. wellies, also known as galoshes or wellington boots, were popularized (or uh popularised) by the first duke of wellington. they're rubber and waterproof. we don't actually own any yet, but i plan to acquire them soon.
also, totally got your verification joke today. and it was a good one.
i thought of you when i was home because night of the living dead was on, and i imagined that you and kristin had seen it before, probably more than once.
