Hvar Town

Ahhh, Hvar Island. Staying here was so worth the flight, bus, and ferry. Our base on the island was in Hvar Town, the biggest settlement on the island.
We stayed near the harbor in a converted palace called Villa Nora where we had great breakfasts (already eaten at the time of photo)
and this view of the fortress.
The best view though is from the fortress where you can see the Pakleni Islands, the site of our next excursion.
I was also taken by the displays of fresh fish at the local restaurants.
Who knew that tuna heads were so gigantic?
